Job Title – Head Coach & Manager of Powerwatts @ Sea Lanes, Brighton

Job Summary – Head Cycling Coach and General Manager of the forthcoming Powerwatts indoor cycling studio at newly built National Open Water Swimming Center, Sea Lanes. Brighton

Born in Canada, Powerwatts is an innovative global indoor cycling platform which is led by world class performance coaches with real bikes and proprietary precision software. After the successful launch of the first Powerwatts at Elevate in Peterborough November 2022: https://www.elevatefitnessuk.com we are thrilled and excited to be opening our next studio in Brighton 

Powerwatts studios build an enhanced community of cyclists of all levels from beginners to advanced, and make all cyclists feel included and immersed in the classes

Opening from Spring 2023, Sea Lanes will transform the former Peter Pan site on Madeira Drive, Brighton, by delving deep into its history and culture by reviving a competitive and recreational swimming centre on Brighton Seafront. The site consists of a state of the art 50m outdoor swimming pool as well as newly built commercial buildings offering a range of associated services including our new Powerwatts studio

The role will be based at the Brighton studio on a flexible full time basis. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Head Powerwatts Brighton coach (full training to Powerwatts certified coach level is is provided)
  • Creation of class timetables and booking system 
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the studio
  • Identification, training and management of part time apprentice coaches
  • Upkeep of customer service protocols and Powerwatts brand values
  • Application and management of all social media, sales and marketing initiatives (with the support of the Powerwatts marketing team)
  • Financial and studio performance reporting to the Powerwatts management team
  • Any other reasonably related duties. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • British Cycling Level 1 and 2 Coaching or equivalent advantageous but not essential.
  • British Cycling Level 1 and 2 Ride Leadership advantageous but not essential
  • Personal Training certification and fitness training experience preferred 
  • A firm understanding and passion for cycling and or triathlon
  • Regular experience of participating in recreational events or competition in cycling/triathlon
  • A warm and engaging personality with a willingness to both teach and learn
  • A strong team player
  • A natural community builder
  • A full spectrum of social media content creation skills
  • A strategic thinker with strong organisational skills and the confidence to work on initiative
  • A broad sense of fun 

Salary Dependant on experience

Start Date First half of June 2023
