Graphic Designer – Saddleback If you’re a graphic designer with a versatile skill set and a passion for sports, we’ve got the ideal job for you at Saddleback, the home of cycling’s most prestigious brands. We’re looking for a new graphic designer who’s keen to turn their hand to a variety of design tasks centred around some of cycling’s biggest names. You’ll tackle all things print and digital to event displays, custom cycling kit design and in-store POS – plus a whole load more. You’ll need to be driven, adaptable and love working collaboratively with different stakeholders across the business. Exceptional time management will also be required as day to day duties will vary from small jobs with minimal lead times to larger projects that will need detailed planning and execution to deadlines. All this means you will play a key role in the marketing department, getting hands on with every type of marketing activation from a design perspective. You’ll also be charged with maintaining brand integrity across department output. You’ll join an enthusiastic and growing marketing department, working under the marketing manager and alongside another experienced graphic designer as well as our social media manger and photographer/videographer. We’re looking for a candidate who’s qualified at degree level with the latest knowledge and skills or someone with 2-3 years’ experience in the design industry. Being a cyclist would be a massive plus. This is a full-time role working 39 hours per week in the Saddleback office (some flexibility may be required to begin with due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation). The hours of work are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 4:00pm on Fridays. Duties and Responsibilities Design – create, facilitate and support with design assets for: Print and digital advertising Branding work for Saddleback and our portfolio of brands Digital marketing campaigns including but not limited to social media Email campaigns including templates, banners and images Events and shows Custom cycling kit Point of sale for events and retailers Print and digital presentations Print projects including sale sheets, catalogues, flyers, magazines, decals and posters Ecommerce website banners and images Product images Other duties – play an essential role in maintaining assets, relationships and brand integrity Create, store and supply assets on our servers and in the cloud Ensure all content that created, stored, supplied and published meets brand/company guidelines Liaise with third party suppliers, managing orders for marketing materials and ensuring budgets are adhered to Communicate with Saddleback’s brands to build relationships and ensure we have the most recent marketing materials Assist with the creation of the monthly multimedia report Assist and supply Saddleback departments, brands and our retailer network with required marketing assets Skills and experience Essential: Proven print and digital design experience Fluent in Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator Degree-level qualification or 2-3 years’ industry experience An approachable team player who’s happy to collaborate Ability to work to deadlines under pressure An exceptional eye for detail Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks Great verbal and written communication skills Desirable: Experience of producing print and online advertising Experience of event and/or point of sale design Product and lifestyle photography experience Video production and editing experience Experience using SketchUp Closing date for applicants: 10 September 2020 Salary: DOE To Apply: Send a copy of your CV to recruitment@saddleback.co.uk
