Experienced Mechanic – Cytech Level 2 / City & Guilds qualified With the changes in our customer’s needs since the Covid-19 pandemic our workshop is busier than ever and we’re looking to recruit an experienced mechanic for our busy City of London workshop. As the leading Giant & Liv road & TT dealer in the UK a large proportion of the services and repairs we carry out focus in this area but we are seeing an increasing amount of bike types, including eBikes and other brands. We expect our workshop team to take pride in each repair, service or build they tasked with and you should be able to explain the work you carry out on their bike to your customer. Flexibility and initiative are a key requirement of the job and it would suit someone who has gained experience in a similar environment. Certification to Cytech Level 2 standard is a minimum for this role. No two days are the same and we expect mechanics to work with pace and precision to ensure that services and repairs are carried out a same day basis to a very high standard. You should be comfortable with a customer facing role and have excellent communication skills including via ‘phone and email. As part of your daily rhythm & routine you may be required to prepare new bikes for sale for our store and online shopfront. A proportion of the job will also involve warranty and crash assessments. Salary is negotiable dependent on experience and references. The store is currently open on weekdays only, but we would expect to return to Saturday openings in due course and these would involve a rota system of one in, one off. We also offer the workplace pension scheme, generous rates of discount and use of demo bike after successful completion of the probationary period. Send CV’s to gcheshire@giant-stpauls.co.uk
