Cycle Technician / Retailer

You:

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about cycling; a person of sterling character with a demonstrable mechanical aptitude and competence, plus a familiarity with all the systems on modern bicycles. Confident in dealing with members of the public as selling is part of the job in an open workshop.  A clean driving licence would also be useful.

Cycle Heaven is one of the North’s largest cycle retailers. The successful candidate will work at all three of our stores: our HQ, an exceptional large flagship store with a busy cafe; Cycle Heaven at the (railway) Station, and also in our neighbourhood workshop – CH at the Angel. We are a lively business full of hard-working people who pride themselves on high standards of customer service and dedication to cycling advocacy.

The Job:

The job involves: the assembly of new cycles, including e-bikes; repairs to a diverse range of cycles; serving customers, as well as a full range of retail duties.

York is a high-class Northern town and one of the UK’s busiest cycling cities. It’s a great place to live and work with great cycling country on the doorstep, a beautiful urban environment and good nightlife that’s well connected to other great places (by train – 105mins to London, 22mins to Leeds and 50mins to the coast).

Salary: £27-28K
