Job Description: At Bolt Bikes we seek people who are fun, energetic, customer friendly and hard working. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating customer servicing & maintaining bikes at a Central London workshop. In addition, we will need assistance in providing inductions to new riders and, if you are interested, helping market our product and services to the Rider Community in London. The bicycle mechanic’s job is key to our success as you will be essential to ensuring customers get the best experience. You will report to our U.K. Operations Manager, but you are expected to be proactive and manage your own time and responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate with our customer service team to schedule customer appointments Be customer service oriented and personable as you are the face of our company Repair bicycles to U.K. Cytech standards (or equivalent) and assess any damage to the bike to determine whether it is wear and tear or damage Maintaining a consistent inventory and order parts when necessary Assemble new bikes and perform quality control checks to ensure the safety of all bicycles - this is paramount Maintain and update our systems by recording all the work you do Support the marketing of our bikes through various channels e.g. at delivery partner hubs, social media etc. Provide feedback about bicycles and work with colleagues on ways we can improve our product or service SKILLS 3-5 years of shop experience, although exceptions will be entertained Knowledge of how a bicycle works including how to assemble and disassemble a bike Knowledge of how to fix batteries and the electric components of an e-bike is (Cytech qualified or equivalent) *PREFERABLE* Ability to manage his or her own time and prioritise what’s important Good team player who is looking forward to working with team members based all over the world A passion for fixing things and start-ups Flexibility: because we are a start-up we hope you can work more days and slightly different hours, where required TIME COMMITMENT & BENEFITS Initially we are looking for someone to 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).
