Job Description: Job Purpose: Primary responsibility: To repair, service and maintain build a small fleet of hire bicycles, including e-bikes to a high standard, logging all repairs and maintenance on a service application. Principal Accountabilities: Carry out bicycle service, maintenance and repairs. Ensure all bikes are maintained to a high standard. Log repairs and maintenance of the bikes on a smartphone Keep a log of all work carried out on the bicycles. Ensure the workshop, equipment and tools are maintained to a high standard. Report spare parts stock level to the Lead Mechanic. Report to the Department Manager. Present a professional image of Motion Forward. Ensure Motion Forward clients and business activities receive an excellent level of customer service. Assist with all other Motion Forward’s operations and activities as reasonably required to fulfil the needs of the business. This may include but not exhaustive to, on street repairs, distribution tasks, Dr Bike and attending events and other workshop activities. The ideal candidate will be a conscientious, hard-working, and dedicated individual who appreciates quality and attention to detail, taking responsibility for your own diary/workload but to work as part of a team of mechanics. Desirable: You should have a working knowledge of bike mechanics and maintenance and a love of everything cycling. A full UK driving license is also desirable but not required.
