Bicycle Preparation & Warehouse Assistant

Power2Cycle Warehouse – Harleston, Norfolk

Full-time

Join a Growing E-Bike Specialist

Power2Cycle is one of the UK’s growing electric bike specialists, helping riders discover the benefits of e-bikes through expert advice, outstanding customer service and premium products from industry-leading brands.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic Bicycle Preparation & Warehouse Assistant to join our expanding warehouse team in Harleston.

This is a varied, hands-on supporting role that will help our warehouse and technical teams prepare bicycles to a high standard and ensure customer orders are completed safely, accurately and on time.

You do not need to be an experienced bicycle technician to apply. We are primarily looking for someone with the right attitude, a strong work ethic, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Previous experience in a warehouse, workshop, mechanical or practical role would be beneficial, but full training can be provided.

The Role

As a Bicycle Preparation & Warehouse Assistant, you will support the wider warehouse team throughout the process of preparing bicycles for customer orders, showroom stock and nationwide delivery.

This may involve picking bikes from their warehouse locations, carefully unboxing them and completing an initial partial build before passing them to a qualified technician.

Once the qualified technician has completed the full pre-delivery inspection and signed the bike off, you will step back into the process to help prepare, protect and package the bicycle securely for delivery.

You will work closely with our qualified technicians, warehouse colleagues and operations team to ensure bikes move efficiently through each stage of preparation without compromising on safety, quality or presentation.

This is very much a team-focused role. You will be expected to support colleagues, assist with a broad range of warehouse duties and contribute to the success of the operation as a whole.

Some of Your Responsibilities Will Include, but Are Not Limited to, the Following:

  • Picking bicycles from their designated warehouse locations
  • Safely moving and handling boxed and assembled bicycles
  • Unboxing new bicycles and checking them for any visible damage or missing components
  • Completing initial bicycle preparation and partial assembly before passing bikes to a qualified technician
  • Fitting or positioning basic components in accordance with training and company procedures
  • Preparing bicycles so that qualified technicians can carry out their full pre-delivery inspections efficiently
  • Assisting qualified technicians throughout the bike preparation process where required
  • Cleaning and polishing bicycles before customer delivery or showroom display
  • Preparing bikes for packaging once they have been inspected and signed off by a qualified technician
  • Protecting and securely re-boxing bicycles for nationwide delivery
  • Ensuring bikes are packaged carefully to minimise the risk of damage while in transit
  • Preparing customer orders accurately and within the required timescales
  • Labelling and organising bikes and packages ready for dispatch
  • Helping to load bikes and customer orders onto delivery vehicles
  • Unloading lorry deliveries from manufacturers and suppliers
  • Checking incoming stock and reporting any visible damage or discrepancies
  • Moving, organising and storing bicycle stock safely within the warehouse
  • Operating a forklift or warehouse picking equipment following the appropriate training
  • Assisting with stock checks and general warehouse organisation
  • Washing and cleaning customer bikes that have returned for servicing or warranty work
  • Washing and helping to maintain company vans and other vehicles
  • Keeping the warehouse, preparation areas and shared workspaces clean, safe and tidy
  • Recycling and disposing of cardboard, packaging and other waste responsibly
  • Supporting qualified technicians and other warehouse colleagues during busy periods
  • Helping with other reasonable warehouse and operational duties when required
  • Contributing positively to the wider team and helping to ensure customer orders are completed to the highest possible standard

Forklift training can be provided for the successful candidate where required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is dependable, practical and willing to get involved in the full range of tasks required to support a busy warehouse operation.

You will take pride in your work and understand that even the smallest details can make a significant difference to the condition in which a customer receives their new bike.

You will ideally have:

  • A positive, flexible and can-do attitude
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to support your colleagues
  • A practical mindset and an interest in hands-on work
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to follow instructions and established processes accurately
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to work efficiently without compromising on quality
  • A willingness to learn new skills and develop your knowledge
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • A responsible approach to health and safety
  • The physical ability to safely move, handle and prepare bicycles throughout the working day
  • Previous warehouse, bicycle, mechanical or workshop experience, although this is not essential
  • Previous forklift experience or a forklift licence, although training can be provided

A genuine interest in bicycles or electric bikes would be beneficial, but it is not essential. Your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are the most important qualities.

Training and Career Development

Although this is initially a supporting role within the warehouse team, we are keen to invest in people who demonstrate the right attitude, ability and appetite to progress.

For someone who is interested in developing a longer-term career within the bicycle industry, there may be opportunities to undertake:

  • Cytech bicycle technician training
  • Apprenticeship training
  • Manufacturer-led technical training
  • Specialist electric bike training
  • Forklift and warehouse equipment training
  • Further development into bicycle preparation, PDI or technician roles
  • Progression into more senior positions as the business continues to grow

Some of the most experienced and valued members of our business, including members of our current management team, began their careers in workshop apprentice and warehouse-based roles.

We believe strongly in recognising potential, developing people from within and providing genuine opportunities to those who show commitment, enthusiasm and the right attitude.

Why Join Power2Cycle?

At Power2Cycle, we are passionate about helping more people enjoy cycling through the latest e-bike technology and outstanding customer service.

Our warehouse team plays an essential role in delivering that experience. Every bike must be carefully handled, prepared, checked and packaged before it reaches the customer.

As a growing business, we believe that success comes from working together. Every member of the team has an important part to play, and we are looking for someone who will take pride in supporting their colleagues and helping the wider operation run smoothly.

In return, we offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Full training for the role
  • Forklift training where required
  • Opportunities to undertake Cytech, apprenticeship and manufacturer training
  • Staff discounts on bikes, accessories and clothing
  • Ongoing learning and professional development
  • Genuine career progression opportunities
  • A supportive and friendly team environment
  • The opportunity to work with leading bicycle and e-bike brands
  • A varied, practical and hands-on role
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing business

If you are reliable, practically minded and keen to become an important part of a supportive warehouse team, we would love to hear from you.
