About The Job The assistant manager role will see the successful applicant integrating as a key member of a growing team. Reporting directly to the store manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, representing the brand and delivering excellent product knowledge to our diverse customer base. Excellent customer service skills, an active interest in Cycling and previous retail experience are preferred however if you don’t have all of these but think you’re the right candidate, we’d love to hear all about why! Dealing with customers delivering the highest level of service Driving the performance of the store to ensure targets are met Reviewing and reporting on KPI’s Opening and closing of the store including end of day duties Inspiring and motivating your team to strive for excellence Managing the staff rota and approving staff holidays Prioritise workload to ensure a productive and efficient team Assisting with stock control and identifying stocking opportunities Identify store strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities Deputising for the manager in their absence About You Excellent cycling knowledge preferred or the desire to learn Ambition to succeed and to strive for excellence Demonstrate a confident, focused, concise, leadership manner Communicate effectively to staff to ensure that the team is aiming to achieve the overall company goals Excellent time management Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to prioritise and delegate tasks Ability to build rapport quickly Be skilled in problem resolution with both staff and customer grievances Enjoy our benefits Substantial staff discount Pension contribution scheme Cycle to work scheme 28 days holiday including bank holidays Free Parking
