Prior to competing in BMX World Champs, Cornford begins PR an Marketing role

James Cornford joins Tenn Outdoors

James Cornford has been appointed by Tenn Outdoors to handle the firm’s PR and marketing.

Cornford told BikeBiz: "My time in the industry started like most cyclists in the back of a bike shop with some cone spanners and a tub of grease."

The appointment follows on from Cornford’s prior role as brand manager for Iron Horse where, among other things, he worked with Sam Hill, Sabrina Jonnier and Ruaridh Cunningham as each scooped world titles at Fort William. Previously he has also worked as race editor/editorial assistant at MBUK and as a freelance journalist for various publications and websites in the bike business.

Cornford joins just prior to competing in the BMX World Championships. In the past he has raced in downhill events and told BikeBiz that, in the not to distant future, he hopes to turn his hand to triathlon.
