Dealers sought and brand appearing at the Bike Place later this month

Italy’s Olmo targets growth in UK bike market

Italian family run brand Olmo is gearing up for a bigger presence in the UK cycle market.

While not the best known Italian brand on these shores, Olmo is no upstart company: It was established in 1939 by road and track rider Giuseppe ‘Gepin’ Olmo.

The firm has been steadily building its UK presence over recent months, appearing at last year’s NEC Cycle Show with Cycling Buddy and achieving a review with Cycling Plus.

This month sees Olmo step up its game with its own stand at the Silverstone trade-only Bike Place Show as it seeks more dealers to take it on. Olmo’s MD from Italy will be appearing at the start of the show – the firm is keen to show its commitment to the UK market.

Olmo will be focusing on its road, MTB and city models in Britain, a slightly pared down version of the full range (which includes tricycles and tandems).
