IslaBikes gears up for Christmas with launch of online sales

IslaBikes has added e-commerce to its website in preparation for the busy Festive season.

In a move designed to free up the phone lines at the firm’s busiest time of year, the buy online function is one of a few new features on the redesigned islabikes.co.uk.

Isla Rowntree told BikeBiz: "Buying online will hopefully free up our busy phone lines and make it easier for customers to place their Christmas orders. It also means our customer services team, which have historically taken orders over the phone will now be able to spend more time answering customer queries, offering advice and giving technical assistance. Of course, customers still have the option to call and place an order with a friendly and knowledgeable member of their customer service team."

Every customer ordering a bike in October will also be in with a chance of a full refund on the most expensive bike ordered at the end of every week during the month.

"We want to encourage customers to think about bicycle Christmas presents early. We want to fulfil all our Christmas orders during this incredibly busy time of year and don’t want anyone to be disappointed because they’ve left their present buying too late," said Rowntree.

An Islabikes staff member will draw a sales order number out of a hat every Friday at 5pm. The lucky winner each week will receive a full refund on the most expensive bike, including any accessories fitted to this bike. Every UK order taken (online/by phone/in person) will be eligible to win.
