Introducing the ’18 Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt

The Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt is now available as part of the brand’s UK range.

Rocky Mountain has flattened out the rate curve to directly increase the amount of useable travel, while maintaining mid-stroke support and making small-bump performance even more sensitive. According to the brand, the higher anti-squat values “dramatically improve pedalling efficiency.”

The bike also features comprehensive evolutionary updates across the platform, including features like tooled axles, single-sided bearing pivots, integrated ‘Spirit Guide’ chainguide and metric shock compatibility.

The RIDE-9TM system provides a wide range of geometry and suspension adjustability; it’s been moved into the link for lighter, narrower packaging.

Rocky Mountaun has increased reach, slackened the headtube angle and lowered the bottom bracket, with slightly lengthened chainstays to improve climbing traction. The Thunderbolt utilises a moderately steep seat tube for further climbing performance.
