International Mountain Bike Conference returns to Scottish Highlands

Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS) has partnered with Cairngorms National Park Authority, and the Scottish government to announce that the Scottish Mountain Bike Conference 2018 will be taking place in Aviemore on the 22 to the 24 of November.

Fiona Hyslop, cabinet secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs, states that the Scottish government considers the industry to be of great importance. 

“Mountain biking is an excellent example of a rapidly growing sector that presents real opportunities for Scotland”, she says, “[The International Mountain Bike Conference] will provide a great opportunity to further highlight the importance of mountain biking in Scotland and its drive in increasing tourism throughout the country”.

Titled ‘Future Proofing The Trail Ahead’, the three day conference will feature several global mountain bike leaders as well as several announcements, and discussions on the future of mountain Biking in the country. 

The conference will also seek to showcase the contribution of MTBs to social and environmental objectives, as well as a sustainable economic development.

Tickets will go on sale with early-bird offers from early August.
