October 10-11, 2003 – Bootleg Canyon, Boulder City, NV
——————————————————- OUTDOOR DEMO is the premier product-testing event for mountain, road, BMX, recumbent bicycles and accessories. This year’s expanded 2-day format in Bootleg Canyon, Boulder City, NV has an exciting line-up of enhancements: – Professionally built BMX track
– Dedicated Downhill MTB trail
– Extensive network of cross-country trails
– Closed road loop
– Expanded exhibit area
– Convenient lodging/facilities Below, you will find important information on OutDoor Demo to help you arrive prepared and ready to test the latest bicycles and products firsthand. REGISTRATION All attendees MUST register at the Sands Expo prior to arriving at OutDoor Demo. Attendees who already have a badge MUST still pick up their badge holder at the Badge Holder Pick-Up Counters – conveniently placed near the shuttle pick-up/drop-off area at the Sands Expo. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, October 10 and 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11.
NOTE: THERE WILL NOT BE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE AT OUTDOOR DEMO. TRANSPORTATION/SHUTTLES Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between the Sands Expo and Bootleg Canyon. The shuttle stop will be in front of the Sands Expo, and runs approximately every 30 minutes. The hours are: – Fri., Oct. 10: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (final departure from Sands Expo at 2:00 p.m., from Bootleg Canyon at 4:00 p.m.)

TRAILS/TESTING ENVIRONMENT BMX TRACK: New for 2003, OutDoor Demo will feature a professionally built BMX track, sponsored by HARO BICYCLES. The track will be situated near the expo area. DOWNHILL TRAIL: Another new feature for 2003, the downhill trail will truly put the latest DH equipment to the test. All downhill-approved bikes must have a special tag. A downhill shuttle service – sponsored by THULE CAR RACK SYSTEMS – will take riders to the trailhead. ROAD LOOP: Starting and finishing at the expo area, riders may test the latest road and recumbent bikes and accessories on a smooth, fast and closed 2-mile paved loop. CROSS-COUNTRY OFF-ROAD TRAILS: Bootleg Canyon offers a wide selection of trails – from easy and fun trails to dicey and technical single-tracks. There will be three XC loops ranging from easy to highly technical that are ideal for product testing at every skill level. HAPPY HOUR MICHELOB ULTRA will sponsor a happy hour each day of the demo.
