Cover is available for bicycles and accessories valued up to £4000. All policies cover theft, accident damage, accidental loss and fire. They also include an option to extend cover to Europe.

Claiming "were not out to make a fortune,", Evans’ head of sales, Scott Hargrave said:
Were all cyclists here, and theres nothing more important to a rider than their beloved steed. We were looking into insurance for our own bikes, but the cover provided by household insurance policies and by other dedicated cycle insurers just didnt tick all the boxes for us, so we decided to create our own."
The Evans policy is provided by IMR Insurance Ltd and is underwritten by E&L.
Insurance policies for bikes over £1000 will include the IMR Datatag security ID kit.
Were confident that weve got a good product, said Hargrave.
Its very competitively priced, covers all the bases but most importantly its straight forward and easy to set up.
Theres no selecting policies based on postcode or anything like that, our policies are banded according to the value of the bike and accessories. And theres no need to wait for quotes or confirmation of any policy, cover is applied instantly once purchased, even when purchasing off the website.
The insurance-in-a-box policies were launched from the Evans Cycles stand at Cycle 2004 at the weekend.
