Industry veterans Rick Vosper and Jay Townley have joined the Spokesmen roundtable podcast, which celebrates its 10th year in 2016.

Industry veterans Vosper and Townley join 10-year-old cycling podcast

Industry veterans Rick Vosper and Jay Townley of America have joined the Spokesmen podcast. Vosper has been running his RVSM consultantancy business since 2007. He was formerly director of global marketing for Specialized and vice president of marketing and product for Veltec Sports. Townley has been in the bicycle business for nearly 50 years and is currently a senior partner at Gluskin Townley Group. He often gives talks at industry gatherings including in the UK.

Both Vosper and Townley are based in the US. The Spokesmen podcast has been broadcast since August 2006. It was founded by David Bernstein, host and producer of the Fredcast podcast. BikeBiz executive editor Carlton Reid has been with the podcast since the beginning and he hosts the show with Townley and Vosper.

The podcast is recorded via Skype. Previous guests have included Chipps Chippendale of Singletrack magazine, Gary Fisher, Arleigh "Bikeshopgirl" Jenkins and Donna Tocci, formerly of Kryptonite.

Show 127 â€“ which lasts for 1 hour and 45 minutes – features US industry figures Rich Kelly and Tim Jackson, and includes a discussion about the "dangerisation" of cycling, the burgeoning mobile cycle mechanics franchise sector, and the spat between Tour de France organiser ASO and the UCI.
