Immediate Media rebrands Triathlon Show

Immediate Media, who recently bought Future Publishing’s cycling portfolio, has announced that The Triathlon Show, the UK’s premier multisport and endurance exhibition, has been rebranded The 220Triathlon Show to strengthen its alignment with the publisher’s triathlon magazine.

The first show to carry the new name and refreshed logo will be the 2015 event, which will take place at Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey, from 27th February to 1st March.

Andy Healy, show director, commented: “For 25 years, 220 Triathlon has been one of the biggest names in tri, so I am delighted that Europe’s largest dedicated triathlon expo is now more closely aligned with this trusted and well-respected brand, and look forward to bringing our long-standing expertise in this exciting industry to multisport athletes of all levels in 2015.”

Helen Webster, editor of 220 Triathlon, added: "The 220 team is thrilled to be working more closely with the show team for what is guaranteed to be a highlight on the 2015 multisport calendar. With the magazine team’s expertise and knowledge of the industry, together we will be able to deliver a fantastic weekend of sporting activities, seminars and Q&A sessions that will educate, inspire and entertain triathletes of all ages and abilities."

The Triathlon Show was acquired by Immediate, the publisher of 220 Triathlon, in March 2013. The 2014 event, which ran from 28th February to 2nd March, was the first to be managed and produced by Immediate and attracted over 7,000 visitors.

The Triathlon Show has been running for 12 successful years, and under its new owners the 2014 event was the biggest yet with 40 per cent more floor space, over 100 exhibitors, interactive features and a programme of expert-led seminars and workshops.

Work is now underway on the 2015 220Triathlon Show, with a full schedule and exhibitor listing to be published later in the year.
