Compresport

Developed alongside Katusha team rider Joaquim Purito Rodriguez, Compressport’s Pro Race sock is ideally suited to warm weather jaunts in the saddle. With its low 12 gram weight, the fast-drying £12.99 sock offers subtle hints of protection and padding, while dampening the effects of a day in the saddle on the feet. Seamless and elastic free, the uppers do not compress the leg, improving blood flow.

Eight UCI pro-tour teams now use Compressport products, many of which are designed specifically to improve blood flow, prevent injury and even offer aero benefits. The full leg product, for example, has been said to shave around 90 seconds off a typical Ironman. 

Finish Line

Three new items join the Finish Line range, each serving a crucial purpose. The first is a pedal and cleat coating that is 100% dry to the touch, but blends teflon, PTFE and boron nitride to give cleats a protective coat that won’t attract dirt and should help rider’s clip in a little easier. 

The second is one for those running electronic components. Citrus degreasers can be harmful here, so fINISH line have come up with E-Shift, which drives out moisture and will be sold in 265 and 475ml cans, starting at £9.99.

Finally and perhaps the most ingenious of all, it’s one for the workshop mechanics that get lumbered with separating seized seat posts from frames. Finish Line’s new Chill Zone product comes in a 360ml can and will chill a corroded area down to minus 50 degrees fahrenheit, creating micro fractures in which fluids can enter to begin to break down the siezed area. 

K-Edge

With cameras now more widely accepted in professional racing, K-Edge has combined a GoPro mount with a Garmin mount. CNC machined from aluminium, it’s a rigid unit that will prevent that nasty camera shake that plastic mounts can deliver. These will retail at £44.99 and come in a standard and extra large length.

K-Edge also now has a top cap replacement Garmin mount, now in stock and retailing at £19.99. 

Wheels Manufacturing

Never mind the 130 plus hangers Wheels Manufacturing now makes, IceBike was all about debuting new Eccentric bottom bracket for use in PF30 or BB30 frames. Using Enduro Abec 5 angular contact sealed bearings, the machined aluminium units are in stock now and available in red only.
