Numbers up a whopping 22 per cent for the trade-only show

iceBike* 2014 shatters attendance record

Madison and Sportline have revealed that iceBike* 2014 was officially the biggest yet.

Total attendance for the show was up by 22 per cent on the previous record, with individual account attendance increasing by 39 per cent and a 23 per cent rise in press attendance.

Take at look at our Facebook gallery from iceBike* 2014 here.

The firm said: "With iceBike* now over for another year, we’d like to extend a big thank you to all those who attended this year’s event. We’ve received some fantastic comments and feedback, all of which have been very pleasing to hear.

"We invest a huge amount of time and effort into making iceBike* a worthwhile event for you to attend, with many of our brands now using the show to unveil new products, as well as making the trip over themselves to be able to talk face to face with you, our customers."

Show highlights included iceBike* debuts of a number of Madison’s latest brands, such as Lazer, Bliss Protection, and Outdoor Technology. An increase in space also meant larger areas for Shimano, Park Tool, Finish Line, PRO, Pearl Izumi and Madison Clothing.

A number of events also took place during Thursday’s press day, with the official launch of the 2014 Madison Genesis team, in addition to the launch of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series. Both were extremely well attended, Madison said, and were available to watch via live stream on the Madison Genesis, Pearl Izumi and websites.

We’ll have more from the event in our April magazine.
