Today, Ibis Cycles appoints a new sales agent, partnering more closely with one of its well-established UK dealers: Tweed Valley Bikes. They will now look after sales, demo, dealer support and marketing in the UK and Ireland for the long established California brand.
An Ibis dealer since not long after first setting up their retail business in 2020, they’re now one of the UK’s most respected independent bike shops, have extensive mountain and e-bike experience with a strong record for quality, aftercare and customer service – aligning well with Ibis’ ethos. Their first hand experience of fast sustainable business growth, understanding of the local market and being in a dealer’s shoes themselves puts them in a strong position to support the network of shops across the country.
This isn’t just a sales role, however, Tweed Valley Bikes will also be responsible for all marketing activities in the UK and Ireland, supporting Ibis as they increase brand awareness and grow their market share. An all new UK focused website alongside a larger demo fleet and demo programme is just the start, with an aim of dealers having access to both before the end of 2026.
Otherwise, Ibis’ set up for the region remains unchanged from the last couple of years – they’ll continue to ship bikes and parts directly from their HQ in the USA to dealers in the UK and Ireland, meaning all retailers have direct access to the complete Ibis product line up for both bikes and all spare parts.
For in-stock bikes, shipping remains at only five to seven working days. Ibis will continue to air freight their bikes from California direct to UK dealers to ensure orders can be filled as quickly as possible, all while keeping pricing as competitive as possible.
