Independent production company Reset Films is looking to increase its numbers of stockists carrying its growing range of cycling DVDs.
Reset has three titles available and two in the final stages of production. The most recent release – Find – is a mountain bike movie staring Danny MacAskill, Steve Peat and many other top name riders.
Find’s RRP is £17.99, with a trade price that offers up to 45 per cent margin on large orders.
The firm told BikeBiz: “We have been distributing Find very successfully to UK bike stores with now over 30 stockists who we are extremely excited to have on board. We have recently decided to extend our own distribution network and are currently looking to increase our list of stockists.”
The firm is also offering a POS unit that has the potential to boost sales by 300 per cent, according to Reset. One unit is provided for every 20 DVDs ordered.
“We have been working closely and taking on board comments from our retailers and subsequently have developed a great tool for selling the DVDs. We are introducing a small digital point of sale display stand which takes up a minimal footprint and displays a short video advertising the DVD. The clips are mute but we have introduced graphics to help with the sale message.
“Having tested one of these units in a relatively small store with the help of sales staff, it helped push over 30 copies in over ten days when positioned on the counter. We’ve found this to be a great tool to sell the DVDs and get that extra sale before the customer leaves the store."
