Members of the beginner's-friendly internet cycling club, officially launched at the SwimRunBike show at the weekend, get a free snazzy race jersey, and club discounts from Wheel2Wheel cycles of Hampshire.

IBD ties in with internet cycle club

www.i-team.co.uk aims to introduce new cyclists to organised racing. And, says founder Guy Watson, it will give "experienced riders and sponsors the opportunity to put something back into the sport at grass roots level."

Members pay £45 to join the club, half of which is a joining fee, the other half being an annual fee for the online help, training advice, discounts and club affiliation to British Cycling and other ‘real world’ clubs.

The club’s honorary president is pro-cyclist Rob Hayles. President and assistant coach is Tony Childs of Wheel2Wheel Cycles.
