ITS Cycling Ltd. has announced the official opening of its new European office in Dresden, Germany.
The establishment of ITS Cycling EU GmbH marks another important milestone in the company’s history to simplify the pan-European distribution of its Hunt Wheels, Privateer Bikes and Dissent133 Gloves brands and to optimise the service promise for its D2C and B2B customers.
Founded in 2015 by brothers Tom and Peter Marchment, the brands of ITS Cycling Ltd have been steadily developed under the umbrella of The Rider Firm.
Above all, Hunt Wheels has established itself as a leading aftermarket wheel manufacturer in Europe.
The opening of the US location in Boulder, CO in 2020 was another important step in bringing the D2C brand closer to its customers.
ITS Cycling’s aim is to develop “the best possible components” for the respective application.
In the coming years, the focus in development will increasingly be on more sustainable products and resource-conserving business operations. The new Sustain Phase One Series, which was recently released, is the first step in this direction.
Thanks to the support of the Saxony Economic Development Corporation and Cycling Saxony, the ideal location for the new Europa warehouse was found on the edge of Dresden’s Neustadt district.
With many other partners from the bicycle industry in the immediate vicinity and its thriving, diverse bicycle scene, Dresden offers an ideal environment for further development in the coming years.

Peter Marchment
Peter Marchment, co-founder and executive chair, said: “We’re excited to open our new EU entity in Dresden, bringing us closer to our Hunt, Privateer and Cairn riders in Germany and the EU.
“Dresden’s fun cycling culture and talented bike lovers make it ideal for offering full customer service, dispatch, and warranty support across the EU without border restrictions. Thanks to Saxony Trade and Invest Corp. for their advice and logistical support and Bike Business Adventure Saxony for sparking this project.”
Saxony has been one of the most important locations for the German bicycle industry for over 120 years.
Its particular strengths lie in lightweight construction and the use of the latest scientific findings in material selection and design. The local bicycle industry also scores with its special expertise in electronics and electrical engineering.
The European Team
The team of the newly founded ITS Cycling EU GmbH is led by European market and operations manager Michael Nikolai.
A graduate in transport economics, he has held various positions of responsibility in the bicycle industry in recent years, most recently as an authorised representative in strategic and technical product management at Veloheld.
Nikolai will be supported by Rene Keil, European warehouse and dispatch supervisor, who is responsible for logistics and maintaining an overview of the warehouse.
The former artist and music manager takes several years of experience from various positions in the Dresden bicycle industry.
Carsten Reimann will be responsible for the service division in the position of European service supervisor.
Reimann ensures that service and warranty inquiries are dealt with quickly and smoothly and can contribute his expertise from several years as a mechanic and sales manager.
The Dresden team will be completed by EU marketing specialist Alexander Bethge, who has ovemore than 20 years of industry and scene knowledge from various marketing positions at Cervélo, internetstores and Shimano.
Bethge will continue to drive forward the brand development in Europe remotely from southern Germany.
The team is set to grow rapidly and the customer service team will be supported in German speaking language at the end of the year.
