Gerry Murphy has been appointed group brand marketing director for Halfords.
From the start of 2011 Murphy will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategy across all channels for the retailer.
Previously, Murphy worked as marketing director at Superdrug – where he launched the company’s first transactional website – and also at Matalan, Toys R Us and other retail businesses.

"He also has considerable commercial experience and in depth knowledge of both on and offline channels.
