B2B facility also in the works at Hot Wheels

GT launches new website

GT Bicycles launched a brand new website to coincide with the first showing of its 2010 bikes at Eurobike. The site is all new and allows for much easier navigation to images of bicycles, as well as a greater ability to make products and news market specific.

The site was launched to GT distributors by Robb Zbierski who is marketing manager for GT Bicycles.

Marcus Cardiff from Hot Wheels will have control of UK content management from the Hot Wheels office. Cardiff said: "The new site is a big step forward for GT, I will be editing all the images to make sure only UK models appear on our country specific site and I will be putting a full dealer listing up once the 2010 dealer list is confirmed."

Hot Wheels is in final stage of testing of its own B2B site. Partner Neil Merry, who has led the project from within Hot Wheels commented "It’s taken a long time to get the site right but now its almost ready for launch. We have been testing with some of our most web-ready dealers for a month and have been improving and amending following their feedback."

Hot Wheels contracted ProspectSoft to develop its B2B site because they already provide Hot Wheels CRM (customer relationship management) software and, as a result, they have already worked out many of the idiosyncrasies of the bicycle industry.

Merry said: "We are convinced that this new B2B site will grow our business because we will be making more information available to our dealers 24 hours a day and they can shop to their heart’s content!"

Hot Wheels will be issuing dealer log in and passwords soon.
