Goodman owned business parks to offer ‘Wiggle Works’ service centres

Wiggle has partnered with the Goodman in a move that will see the property group’s business parks become ports of call for cyclists looking to have their bikes serviced.

The Wiggle Works service will be launched at Goodman’s Reading, Oxford, Bracknell and Solent business parks, collectively home to over 120 businesses with 10,000 employees.

Stephen McAlister, new business development director at Wiggle, said: “Our website is popular with cycle enthusiasts and those new to commuting on two wheels. However, we want to expand our services beyond product sales to after care and maintenance work to improve our overall offer to customers and to do this we need a physical space.

“We want to ensure that this service is where people are already working and so a partnership with Goodman – which has an extensive network of business parks across the country – was an ideal way to enter the market. Like Wiggle, Goodman is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of its customers and so this partnership seemed like a natural fit.” 

The service, which will be available to people working on Goodman’s parks, as well as the local community, are priced competitively starting at £35.00 for a standard service.

The cycle maintenance scheme with Wiggle is just one way Goodman is helping people who work on its business parks to improve their health and wellbeing. Other recent initiatives include fitness classes, fresh fruit giveaways and cycling/sustainable travel events.

Richard Potter, property services director at Goodman added: “We are keen to see people who work at companies located in our business parks take up cycling. For people who are new to cycling, bike maintenance can be a little daunting, and difficult to fit around their busy working lives. As part of our ongoing commitment to offering sustainable travel options to all our customers, we hope that our joint initiative with Wiggle will make bike repairs, and therefore cycling, more accessible. Our health and wellbeing initiatives are proving popular with businesses and their staff and we hope to roll out more services in this area throughout the year.”
