Yorkshire Cycle Show set for Leeds Town Hall, 20th-22nd September

God’s own county to stage its own cycle show

This year’s York Rally was cancelled due to lack of trade bookings but this hasn’t deterred the organisers of the Yorkshire Bicycle Show, due to be staged in Leeds Town Hall on the weekend of 20th-22nd September.

Exhibitors include bike shops Spa Cycles, Ellis Briggs and Yourspokes and there will be bikes from Ted James Design, Feather Cycles, EDSbikes, Cycle Technology, Wootbikes, Baldwin Titanium, Slate Cycles, Shed 6, Tokyo Fixed, Brother Cycles, Milk Bikes and Aurelius Cycles. Clothing companies exhibiting include We are Cyclism, GRIM, Georgia in Dublin, Fused, Milltag, Drink Tea Ride Bikes, Swrve, Impsport, Cycsmart, ForceGB and Restrap.

Co-organiser Sophie Edmondson said: "Bicycle fever is growing. As 2014’s Grand Départ grows ever closer, cyclists across the North are preparing for a period of cycling celebrations. The Yorkshire Cycle Show will demonstrate the best that Northern cycling has to offer, as well as giving an insight into innovations from across the UK and Europe. With local food and beers available, the Show promises to give cycling a good old Yorkshire welcome and kick off the countdown to 2014 with a bang."

Doors will open for trade and press on Friday afternoon from 3pm, with the main events taking place between 10am and 6pm on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September. Tickets are £5 in advance for adults.
