Orgnisers of the fourth annual Grinduro mixed-terrain bicycle race have confirmed a host of sponsors for the 2018 event.
Brands Giro, Fabric, and SRAM, all of whom have been active supporers of the event in previous years, are returning as global presenting sponsors, with WTB being joined by Lauf Forks at the global supporting level.
2018 will see a return to two classic venues: on July 14 to the Isle of Arran in Scotland, and on September 29 to Quincy, California, where Grinduro was created. Both events will feature live music, a hand-made bicycle and art show and a demanding course that combines pavement, fire roads, and singletrack.
“Grinduro Scotland was really special – I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best bike ride I’ve ever done,” said SRAM Road brand manager Kate Powlison. “The event is magical for participants, and I truly believe it’s a huge value for sponsors like us because we get such deep connections with the riders. Grinduro’s festival area with music, art, and hand-made bikes will expand at both events this year and that kind of true-to-the-culture experience is a key attraction to SRAM.”
