Genesis recalls Day One chainsets

Genesis has said it has become aware of a potential problem involving the durability of Samox AF-13 single-speed chainsets, which requires immediate attention.

The below models of Genesis Day One bikes are affected:

‘We have chosen to voluntarily recall the single-speed chainsets on these models and replace them free of charge with a brand-new redesigned Samox chainset,” said a statement.

“If you have one of these bikes with the original single-speed chainset, please contact your Genesis dealer so a replacement chainset can be requested from UK-distributor Sportline.

“If you are not certain if you have one of these chainsets, please take your bike to your local Genesis dealer, where they can check and confirm for you.

“We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, but rest assured our commitment to quality remains our highest priority.”
