BikeRadar and Cyclingnews grow traffic over summer

Future hits four million online users

Future’s two key consumer cycling sites – BikeRadar.com and Cyclingnews.com – have boosted traffic over the summer, peaking at 4.1 million unique users in July, according to SiteStat figures.

The Tour de France was a key traffic driver as ever, though traffic has continued to build reaching 18.8 million page views in September, an increase of more than a third, year-on-year.

Pro-cycling focused Cyclingnews.com posted 67.5 million page views and 2.2 million unique users in July 2010. September 2010 saw y-o-y growth of 23 per cent for page views and 29 per cent for unique users.

“BikeRadar.com and Cyclingnews.com not only provide by far the biggest reach of any cycling websites in the UK, but they also deliver a targeted and highly engaged audience, actively looking for buying advice," said Future’s sports portfolio group publishing director
Richard Schofield.

"It is encouraging to see both sites growing faster than the market and shows that our focused editorial approach is paying dividends for our commercial partners.”

Cyclingnews.com traffic spiked on stage three of the Tour de France (July 6th) with 4.2 million page views in one day.
