The 'Essential Guide to Commuting' and Total Bike Repair and Maintenance’ bookazines due shortly

Future announce commuter and maintenance guides

Future Publishing is to publish two bookazines this summer, with ‘Ride to Work: The essential guide to commuting’ and ‘Total Bike Repair and Maintenance’.

On sale on Thursday, 16th July, the 180-page ‘Ride to Work: The essential guide to commuting’ builds on the strength of road magazine Cycling Plus, and aims to arm new commuters with all of the tips and advice to take to the road safely.

Pete Cossins, editor of the ‘Ride to Work: The essential guide to commuting’ said: “There’s never been a better time for commuters to take to two wheels. With fuel and public transport costs rising, increasing awareness of environmental and health issues, going by bike is becoming the best way to commute. Add in the boost given to cycling by Team GB’s outstanding success at the Beijing Olympics and London’s hosting of the Games in 2012, and cycling really is the way to go.”

The 200-page ‘Total Bike Maintenance & Repair’ bookazine features a complete guide on all bike maintenance, produced by the teams behind Cycling Plus, What Mountain Bike and Mountain Biking UK. Full of practical advice and proven knowledge to help cyclists get the most out of their bikes, the guide includes a detailed anatomy of the bike and details of how to set up a home workshop.

The ‘Ride to Work: The essential guide to commuting’ goes on sale on Thursday, 16th July priced at £5.99, the ‘Total Bike Repair and Maintenance’ goes on sale on Friday 10th July priced at £10.99. They will be available in WH Smiths High Street and Travel, Sainsbury’s, Borders and Irish store, Easons.
