One of the UK’s leading specialist electric bike retailers, Fully Charged, has opened a new store in Plymouth, marking the brand’s latest expansion across the South West. This is the second store opening so far in 2026, with the company also opening a store in Brighton back in January.
Located at Alma Yard, a growing creative courtyard close to Plymouth’s historic Barbican, the new store will focus on family eCargo bikes, electric folding bikes and everyday electric mobility, offering hands-on access to some of the world’s leading electric bike brands alongside expert in-store advice and long-term support.
With existing locations across London, Cornwall, Guildford, the New Forest, Silverstone and Brighton, the Plymouth opening strengthens Fully Charged’s regional network, giving riders across Devon and the wider South West easier access to specialist knowledge, flexible test rides and industry-leading aftercare.
At a glance, the new Plymouth store offers:
- Access to the world’s leading electric family eCargo bike brands
- Expert in-store advice from specialist eBike mechanics
- Flexible test ride options, including guided and self-guided rides
- Full technical servicing and long-term support
- Tailored electric bike solutions for individuals, families and local businesses
- A destination retail space within Plymouth’s creative Alma Yard community
- A full range of finance options, including all major cycle-to-work schemes
Designed to support practical, lower-impact alternatives to car travel, Fully Charged Plymouth will help commuters, families and businesses understand how electric bikes can fit into everyday life, from school runs and shopping to commuting and commercial use.
Alma Yard, a thoughtfully redeveloped Victorian rope factory, is now home to a growing collection of independent businesses, studios and makers. Set around a public courtyard, the location offers a calm, welcoming environment that reflects Fully Charged’s considered approach to specialist eBike retail.
Alongside private customers, the Plymouth store will also support organisations exploring electric bikes for commercial use. Since 2014, Fully Charged has delivered electric cargo bike fleets, consultancy and long-term servicing for businesses operating across logistics, delivery and event sectors.

A South West Story Built on Experience
Fully Charged Plymouth builds on nearly a decade of experience supporting electric bike riders across Cornwall and Devon.
Chris Childs, Store Lead at Fully Charged Plymouth, said:
“Plymouth already has strong cycling infrastructure, with further improvements planned, and it’s a city where many everyday journeys can genuinely be quicker and more enjoyable by eBike than by car. We also see first-hand the impact of congestion, and believe electric bikes; particularly family eCargo bikes, can offer a realistic alternative for many local families.
This sector has been under-represented in Plymouth, and with the backing of Fully Charged we’re able to bring some of the world’s best eCargo bike brands to the city and help families experience how much of a difference they can make to daily life.”
Working alongside Chris is Adam Warne, who is continuing to develop within the business, combining local knowledge with Fully Charged’s wider experience and systems.
Adam Warne added:
“Alma Yard gives us a great space to welcome families and riders in a relaxed environment, with the opportunity to properly test bikes on the surrounding streets. That real-world experience is crucial in helping people find the right solution for school runs, commuting and everyday journeys.”
Together, the team aim to build long-term relationships with riders, focusing on confidence, education and practical support rather than short-term sales.
What to expect
Fully Charged Plymouth will feature a carefully selected range of family-focused electric cargo bikes, electric folding bikes and everyday eBikes, supported by knowledgeable in-store specialists. Customers will be able to book guided or self-guided test rides, allowing them to understand how an electric bike fits into their daily routine.
To mark the opening, Fully Charged will host an official eBike demo day on Saturday 18 April, bringing together premium electric bike brands, test ride opportunities and the chance for local riders to meet the team and explore a wide range of electric bikes in one place. If you’d like to book onto it, please call the store to reserve your space on 07939806322.
