Windwave will take stock of a new FSA crank in January – the new Metropolis PT – a new urban-specific build based around a planetary gear system.
The planetary gear system is driven by a unique and patent pending compound pawl system that allows seamless shifting under any load, with less stress on the gear mechanism than other systems, to ensure a long service life.
Retail price is likely to be around £380 and the system will weigh in at 1,672 grams.
The crankset is compatible with most conventional frames and provides a 1.6 to 1 gear ratio.
