Froome’s Pinarello totaled after Le Tour winner suffers hit-and-run

Three-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome was this morning knocked from his bike on a training ride by an "impatient driver".

The £10,000 Pinarello Dogma F10 is a write-off, Froome tweeted.

The ramming incident occured in the French commune of Beausoleil, near Monaco, where Froome lives.

The motorist responsible did not stop, claims the Sky rider.

Froome wrote on Twitter: “Just got rammed on purpose by an impatient driver who followed me onto the pavement! Thankfully I’m okay. Bike totaled. Driver kept going!”
