Kids bike label will show nine bike line as show opens its doors next weekend

Frog Bikes to debut at Bike and Tri show

A new children’s bikes label – Frog Bikes – will debut at the Bike and Tri show, which opens its doors for the first time at Manchester Central next weekend.

Coming to market with a nine bike range, Frog’s line all feature a lightweight aluminium frame and fork, with the lightest model – The Tadpole – tipping the scales at just 4kg. The largest of the range will weigh 10kg. Each build will carry components sized to the rider, including shorter cranks and brake levers, as well as Shimano Easy-Twist shifters.

Each of the bikes is named according to the minimum size of the child riding it. Armed with a measurement for the inside leg of the rider, a model can easily be selected. For example, a Frog 52 is for riders with a minimum inside leg of 52cm.

Frog will primarily sell via independent retailers, but will also have an online presence. There is a standard two year warranty on each bike’s frame, forks, components and paintwork. Customers can also upgrade to a free five-year warranty on frame and forks.

The range starts at £120 for the 12-inch wheeled tadpole and also offers 14, 16, 20, 24 and 26-inch wheel sizes, spanning various price points to £280 for the Frog 73.
