Flaer enters Far East market with Thai distributor

UK performance brand Flaer is set to take its tech-driven products to the emerging market of Thailand with the announcement of a distribution partnership with Ultimate Bike Solution Co.

With global forecasts suggesting the Asia Pacific territory is the foremost growth area for cycling, Flaer commented that the brand sees the Thai market as an optimum gateway to servicing the Far East.

All Flaer products are now available in Thailand through Ultimate Bike Solution Co. who has a strong background in distribution being involved in both the automotive and bicycle industries in the country.

Flaér sales director Nick Muddle said: “With the appetite for both cycling and new tech in the Far East, we are excited by the potential for Flaér in Thailand. In Ultimate Bike Solution Co. we have a partner that has extensive experience with both of these, as well as having a strong track record with developing Western brands in their market.”

With the UCI World Tour making inroads into China in 2017 and with Japan on the radar, Flaér says it is keen to expand its distribution network further into this increasingly interesting region.

Peera Laohakrniyom from Ultimate Bike Solution Co. added: “I was introduced to Flaér and the Revo Via chain performance system through my relationship with Scottoiler.

“The project was immediately very interesting to me and I see great potential with the performance advantages given to riders by having a fully optimised transmission. Touratech is my current business for motorcycle accessories and I have decided to target the cycling market with my new company – Ultimate Bike Solution Co. for Flaér Products.”
