SRAM hands over Aero Award to the St Albans distributor

Fisher picks up Zipp distribution award

SRAM has picked out Fisher Outdoor Leisure as the recipient of its Aero Award.

Handed over last week, the award is in recognition of the sales and marketing work that Fisher has been doing with the Zipp brand over the last year and the development of the BSS and accessories categories in the UK.

Last month Fisher announced their IBD Zipp Margin Support Programme which has showed early signs of being well received by the trade, Fisher said. Zipp stockist numbers have more than doubled since its launch and the initiative is funded by Fisher with the aim to ensure that ZIPP retains its strong presence in the specialist bike trade.

James Browning, Fisher CEO, said: “This award is great recognition of the work Fisher is doing to develop the SRAM portfolio and cements our position as one of their largest global distribution partners."

Fisher said it is continuing to offer more value to the supply chain and has been rolling out initiatives to support this strategy over the last year. Its SRAM Platinum Club provides members with carriage free orders and price match and its B2B groupset builder enables dealers to quote, check stock and order whole groupsets much more quickly.

Fisher will be launching even more initiatives to help the IBD over the course of the next few months, including online bill payment and returns, as well adding other premium brands to its Zipp, Tacx and Campagnolo margin support initiative.
