Kansi set to arrive spring 2010

Fisher launches new folding bike brand

Fisher Outdoor Leisure has announced the forthcoming launch of kansi folding bikes.

Spring 2010 will see Fisher make the first deliveries of the kansi brand of folding bikes, a brand which the firm said is totally committed to providing quality, value for money and outstanding spares support, via a network of specialist IBDs.

Fisher Outdoor Leisure CEO Richard Allmark said: “Our market knowledge and experience has taught us that design-led product attracts new consumers to the category and that consumers buy in to ‘lifestyle’ brands and these brands need strong marketing support.

“It’s far easier and effective for our dealers to buy and to sell a simple and easy to understand compact range of products giving less confusion to the consumer, and we all need consistent supply throughout the season and less year-on-year range changes. We also know that consumers demand reliable spares support – they want to be riding their bikes 24/7.

“Furthermore, a premium brand needs a committed and professional ‘collect in store’ dealer network who can properly support and service the products from point of sale onwards. Plus everyone wants outstanding margins that they can actually achieve.”

According to Fisher Outdoor Leisure, kansi is a folding bike brand dedicated and focused on the needs of the commuter cyclist, but it is destined to have wider appeal than other, more traditional, folding bike brands. The brand promises to offer the highest standards of service and support and to this end kansi will be sold by specialist bike retailers on a pick-up in store only distribution policy.
