The results of the consumer research study – The Outdoor Enthusiast – will be launched by at the Go Outdoors 2003 trade expo in Harrogate, 21st-23rd September.
Based on responses from 1000+ outdoor enthusiasts, the study provides up-to-date insights on the breadth of activities undertaken by the enthusiasts, and their purchasing habits.
The study reports on an extremely high cross over between walkers and cyclists. As well as measuring participation, the report examines accommodation use, expenditure on clothing and equipment, magazine readership, club and association membership, and demographics. There’s also tabulated analysis highlighting the key differences between walkers and mountaineers, skiers and cyclists and participants in other specialist
activities.
