Factor has introduced the ELARA, a new fast gravel racing bike designed to deliver road race-style handling while meeting the demands of modern gravel competition.

The brand said the ELARA has been developed around a more agile ride character than traditional endurance or adventure gravel bikes, with geometry intended to feel immediate, precise and composed at race speeds.

According to Factor, the bike uses a longer reach, reduced trail and lower bottom bracket than its predecessor, helping to manage the rider’s centre of gravity and retain a road-race feel while remaining stable on loose surfaces.

The ELARA also offers clearance for tyres up to 57mm, a figure Factor said is intended to help riders maintain high speeds across rough terrain rather than to position the bike as an adventure platform.

The frame is compatible with both 1x and 2x drivetrains, including capacity for a 52-tooth front chainring in a 1x setup. Factor said its engineers reshaped the chainstays and seat tube to manage the space required for wide tyre clearance and drivetrain flexibility.

The company uses a one-piece monocoque frame construction on the ELARA, which it said allowed the engineering team to sculpt the frame more precisely, improve alignment, reduce machining and lower weight.

Stuart Munro, Factor design engineer, said: “Nobody’s managed to keep a proper short rear-centre on a 2x gravel bike with 57s. We just kept shaving it until it fit, 423mm chainstays, and everything still clears. 2x was never negotiable; we didn’t want to force a drivetrain choice just to fit a tyre. That’s not how we work.”

Aero gravel race package

Factor said the ELARA applies its performance-first approach to frame design and integration to the demands of contemporary gravel racing. Aerodynamic features draw on the company’s ONE and OSTRO VAM programmes, including planar fork integration, a narrow hourglass head tube, and refined transitions around the downtube and bottle zones.

The bike also features integrated downtube storage, using TexTreme fibre, designed to let riders carry race-day essentials while maintaining an aerodynamic profile.

The ELARA is paired with the Black Inc Aero Gravel Bar AB07 one-piece cockpit, which includes a subtle flare, integrated computer mount and internal hose routing.

Factor is also positioning the bike alongside the Black Inc SIXTY FOUR Gravel wheelset, which features a 30mm internal rim width and has been developed with input from Factor Racing athlete and 2025 men’s Gravel Earth Series overall champion Magnus Bak Klaris.

The brand said the wheelset combines aerodynamic performance, wide tyre support, ceramic bearings and instant freehub engagement for gravel racing applications.
