Extra UK has announced that they have signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Cast for the UK and Ireland (via their Irish subsidiary Cyclex).

Cast is an independent, employee-owned company of world-class athletes, engineers, and designers united by a shared love for gravity mountain biking. Cast have developed a range of high-performance components, including handlebars, stems, grips and tyres to help push the sport forward through collaborations with industry leaders. Their lineup includes next-gen tyres developed with Pirelli and Elite racers and are designed to perform at the highest level. By working with proven partners like Pirelli, Cast are combining cutting edge tech with world-class rider insight to raise the bar for mountain bike products. 

According to Cast, they aren’t just about making high-end products – they want to build something meaningful for the riding community. They offer support to athletes, lift up local scenes, and get more new riders excited about mountain biking. Whether it’s backing grassroots events, working with trusted partners, or creating ways for riders to connect with athletes shaping the future of MTB, Cast says they are focused on growing the sport from the inside out.

The list of word-class riders behind the Cast includes Danny MacAskill, Greg Minaar, Fabio Wibmer, Kriss Kyle, Danny Hart, Greg Callaghan and the Norco Factory Racing World Cup Team featuring Gracey Hamstreet. 

We’re really pleased to add Cast to our portfolio and make their high-quality components readily available to dealers in the UK and Ireland. The Cast project is something a little different and a refreshing addition to the world of mountain biking.

We first learned about Cast through Pirelli and after speaking to Derek Wills, the founder of Cast, it was clear we had a shared idea of how the brand should be handled in the UK market and we were very grateful when we were asked to distribute their other products in addition to the Antagonist and Protagonist tyres the brand developed in partnership with Pirelli – Mark Greshon, Head of Brands at Extra UK
