Extra UK displaying new products at Cycle Show

Extra UK is displaying its full portfolio of products as well as new product launches from Fizik, Crankbrothers, FFWD, Topeak, Rapid Racer Products and Abus at the Cycle Show, hall 2, stands C40 and D40.

The show opens today, 12th September, for trade only and 13th to 15th September for the general public.

Fizik Argo saddles
Argo is a new range of short-nosed saddles from Fizik, designed to put cyclists into a riding position that allows for greater stability and better weight distribution. There are two versions of the new saddle to suit different riding styles: Vento Argo and Tempo Argo. Vento Argo is geared more towards racing cyclists, with its dropped nose and ergonomic cut-out to support and aggressive aero riding position, whereas the Tempo Argo is suited more to endurance riders looking for all-day comfort and soft tissue pressure relief.

Fizik Terra Powerstrap X4
This gravel-focused Terra Powerstrap X4 is created for a close fit, high performance and comfort when drop-bar adventures go beyond traditional paved roads. Powerstrap X4 matches the simple, efficient and reliable Powerstrap Velcro closure system with a whole new outsole engineered specifically for the gravel adventure rider: the X4 balances stiffness and comfort, combining nylon with a grippy rubber tread.

Fizik R4 Overcurve
The Tempo Overcurve R4 has a focus on reliability, comfort and efficiency in a lightweight all-round package and an iridescent finish. It has an asymmetrical shape, flexible PU-mesh upper and micro-adjustable Boa closure. The new vented R4 sole blends nylon and carbon fibre for a medium flex power transfer.

Crankbrothers Highline 3 & 7
Crankbrothers is launching its new Highline dropper post range, featuring two models and a wide array of sizes that should suit every rider’s style and discipline. The new Highline dropper post is now available in 27.2, 30.9, 31.6 and 34.9 diameters, as well as travel option between 60mm and 170mm.

Along with the increase of sizes, the new Crankbrothers Highline dropper post uses a linear actuator, providing fast return speeds, an easy feel at the lever, and a hassle-free and consumer-friendly installation process.

FFWD

FFWD has “broken the mould again” with the Falcon two-spoke wheel – offering unmatched aero benefits of up to nine watts over the leading competitor at yaw angles of zero to ten degrees. The Falcon is available in both rim and disc options with a rim that varies in depth between 48mm and 90mm on their NACA profile. The wheels are constructed from Toray T800 and T1000 for the optimum stiffness to weight ratio, tubeless-ready bead, and front, rear and track applications.

During this past year, riders from professional cycling teams Total Direct Energie and Arkea-Samic have ridden and tested this wheel and provided positive feedback on the overall performance and handling of the Falcon.

Rapid Racer products
The ProGuard offers unmatched protection from mud and spray and, being launched at the Cycle Show, the ProGuard is now available in a direct-mount fitment. The new direct-mount guards are compatible with selected Fox, Ohlins and SR Suntour forks, and similar to the standard and XL ProGuard, are fully customisable with RRP stickers and decals, and are suitable for all wheel sizes up to a 3.0in tyre.

Topeak
The Topeak Joe Blow Sport and Pro models go digital. The digital models feature a precision-focused digital gauge allowing pressures to be more accurately set.

Topeak Joe Blow Sport Digital
– Precise middle mount digital gauge (tolerance within 1%) with protection bumper
– Dual-density polymer, ergonomic, oversized handle
– TwinHead DX5 with a longer lever
– Large steel base for increased stability
– Max 160 PSI

Topeak Joe Blow Pro
– Precise top mount digital gauge (tolerance within 1%) with protection bumper

Abus Smart X 770a
Abus is introducing the “next logical step” in the evolution of the most secure lock segment: the ABUS 770A SmartX.

The key element is the new SmartX cylinder. It is the first electronically controlled, keyless lock cylinder in the product range. The lock is operated via smartphone via a secure, encrypted Bluetooth connection.

The Abus app also stores each last location of the lock, making it possible to locate the parked bike precisely. 3D position detection, known from the BORDO Alarm that detects any movements of the lock and sounds a 100-decibel alarm in case of any attempted attacks. To prevent false alarms, the technology takes vibrations that occur during the locking process into consideration, as well as movements associated with brief bumping.
