Extra UK has appointed Steve Davey as managing director.
Davey brings a wealth of experience to the role having previously worked in the bike industry but more recently as MD at Burton McCall, one of the largest distributors in the outdoor trade.
The company’s owners Brian Stewart and John Phillips remain fully involved in the day to day operations of the business.
Co-owner Brian Stewart said: "This is a very positive step for the company. Strengthening the management structure through this appointment will enable the company to maintain the excellent rate of growth we’ve enjoyed in recent years and to realize some ambitious plans for the future. We’ve no doubt that the impact of Steve’s arrival will soon be evident to customers and suppliers alike."
The news follows Extra UK’s announcement it is taking on Crankbrothers distribution.
