Extra UK has announced the latest additions to its team with the arrival of Carey O’Callaghan and Stu Prentice, who will respectively cover South East and North territories, working in two different roles.

O’Callaghan has joined as an additional area sales manager for the South East, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. With this new hire, the Extra UK ‘team on the road’ expands to 9, covering all of the UK and Ireland for its Cyclex subsidiary, further solidifying Extra UK’s presence in the market.

O’Callaghan, who boasts over a decade of industry experience, shared his excitement about the role: “I’m stoked to get the opportunity to join the Extra UK family as Area Sales Manager for the South East.

“Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with I-Ride, Mondraker UK, and Chicken CycleKit. I can’t wait to bring my knowledge and passion for cycling to Extra UK’s incredible brand portfolio, which has such a rich history in the cycling industry. This is an exciting next step in my career.”

In addition, Extra is welcoming Stu Prentice, who joins the business as retail specialist for the North, focusing on the Selle Royal Group brands: fizik, crankbrothers, Brooks, and Selle Royal.

With over 8 years in the cycling industry, Prentice has previously worked with Jungle and most recently PON Performance, where he supported dealers and connected riders with world-class equipment.

Commenting on his new role, Prentice said: “I’m super excited to take on a new challenge at Extra UK after an incredible journey helping to build the Cervélo brand in the UK.

“I’ve always been passionate about working with world-class brands, and with the Selle Royal exceptional portfolio of brands and dedicated team at Extra UK, I feel like I’ve found the perfect fit. I can’t wait to hit the road and engage with retailers!”
