Last Sunday £17k was raised in a special charity auction as part of Fisher Outdoors’ Expo 09. The funds were raised for the Stay Strong Stephen Murray cause.
Some of the auction items up for grabs included signed GB skin suits from the likes of Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton, and a Troy Lee signed helmet.
Fisher Outdoor CEO Richard Allmark told BikeBiz: “We raised £17,000 at our ‘Stay Strong Stephen Murray’ auction Sunday night which will go to his rehabilitation nurse for 2009. Thanks to all who dug deep, and apologies to those who were out bid.”
The Sunday night also gave the trade chance to unwind with Wii games, a Scalextric and a Tacx challenge where the industry got to face off against each other.
Look out for the forthcoming March edition of BikeBiz for our full review of Expo 09.
