Everysight launches augmented reality glasses for cyclists

Everysight has released its long-awaited Raptor AR Smartglasses, which are claimed to be the ‘first’ consumer-focused augmented reality glasses for cyclists and triathletes.

Raptor, which aims to enhance performance with real-time data, is now available throughout the UK, the EU, the US, and Canada.

The glasses’ patented Beam technology displays sharp yet semi-transparent information including heart rate, cadence, speed, power, and distance, while also offering built-in GPS, an HD camera for image and short video capture, and a speaker for music and phone calls.

Raptor allows up to eight hours riding without the need for a recharge, while companion app compatibility means that all captured information can be synced and shared with ease.

Most impressive, however, is the ease of use. Raptor is responsive to voice commands, and has a touchpad on the right of the temple, enabling users to alter their view, control maps, volume, brightness, and data screens without dismounting or pausing.

The glasses come in three colourways – Stealth Black, Electric Green, and Arctic Blue – and offers accessories such as a handlebar control system, RX adaptors, and tinted visors.
