Evans Cycles reports sales and profits rise

Evans Cycles saw pre-tax profits hit £2.3m in the 12 months to November 2013, up from £269,000. Sales rose 8.7 per cent to £144m, reports Retail Week.

Evans Cycles is set to open a new store in Preston at the North Road Business Park – the first time the store has ventured into Lancashire.

According to Retail Week’s report, Evans is plotting to double the number of stores it opens annually to six, targeting sites in "all the big cities".
