Leeds city centre sees the latest new shop from the cycle retail chain

Evans Cycles opens store number 42

Cycle retailer Evans Cycles has opened a new store in Leeds city centre – the 42nd outlet from the firm.

The opening follows a flurry of recent activity from the retail chain, including the opening of the UK’s first Cyclepoint at Leeds train station, another new store in Wimbledon, and the exclusive distribution of the Jamis bike brand.

The Leeds store is located on Station street in the heart of Leeds and wil house over 150 bikes at any one time. The shop will be staffed with four Cytech trained mechanics and the shop will offer free maintenance classes – as part of Evans Cycles’ Fix It scheme.

“We are all really exiting by opening this new store is what is fast becoming a huge cycling city," enthused James Dalton, manager of the new store.

"The Cyclepoint concept has proven to be a great success and has been great meeting all the local cyclists in Leeds. The new Station st store complements the Cyclepoint fantastically and gives customers the opportunity to see our whole range in all its glory. We are looking forward to helping out the cyclists of Leeds and hopefully creating some new ones.”
