Cycling on TNT Sports
TNT Sports has announced the addition of the full line-up of Eurosport live and non-live content to its channels and platforms in the UK and Ireland from the end of February 2025.
If you’re not in the UK, Eurosport channels will continue in more than 50 territories across Europe.
Launched in 2023, TNT Sports is streamed on discovery+ in the UK. TNT Sports is available across all major TV platforms, including EE TV, Sky and Virgin Media. Warner Bros. Discovery manages the operation of TNT Sports under a 50:50 BT and Warner Bros. Discovery JV.
On 28 February, Eurosport will integrate into TNT Sports. All previous cycling rights previously carried on Eurosport will be available to watch on TNT Sports and streamed on discovery+.
The cycling proposition on TNT Sports for 2025
TNT Sports has said this will be the new home of cycling and deliver global coverage of the biggest races. They will broadcast all three men’s and women’s Grand Tours, UCI World Championships, every Monument, all one-day classics, UCI Mountain Bike World Series, complete Cyclo-cross and track season, 70+ additional men’s and women’s road races.
They have also said there will be 300+ days of cycling action across the year with 1000+ hours of live race coverage. They will also be “broadcasting 100% of the UCI Men’s and Women’s Tours for the first time ever,” and showing coverage for 33 of 36 men’s World Tour races.
In 2026, WBD will have exclusive rights for the Tour de France, Paris-Nice and Dauphine, which will all be broadcast on the channel.

How much does TNT Sports cost?
There are some new things on offer for 2025, but the change does come at a cost. There is a Basic plan and a discovery+ Premium plan available. The Basic plan costs £3.99 a month but doesn’t include TNT Sports, the Premium plan is £30.99 a month, an increase on the £6.99 package many were paying before the change.
You’ll still be able to access TNT Sports (and pay) as an add-on package via your TV provider. There will be some free-to-air content available on Quest.
On the topic of price rises, cott Young, Group SVP Content, Production and Business Operations WBD Sports Europe said:
That {price) is going to change and there is going to be a price rise for premium sports channels. So what we’ve looked at is creating value for money…take the most premium sports properties possible and create the adjacency premium sports ecosystem where you get them. So, yes, there is a price rise. At the same time, we look towards the launch of Max in 2026, that same price rise is going to provide the best entertainment we have on our platforms globally, adjacent to the best sporting content we have amongst our team. So we’re building out the best sports and entertainment portfolio we have in this country. I think, again, it goes to the reason of the Ultimate Cycling Show being on Quest. You can choose to make the decision as to how they want to engage with us in the short term.
“This is something we’re investing in, we’re investing significantly for the Mountain Bike World Series. We’re investing in product innovations. We’re investing in programming. And when the Tour de France comes to us in 2026, which will be exclusive on our platform, there will be content on Quest. And we will invest…in the product innovation delivery around the Tour itself. And how do we tell the story of the 21 stages, not just through a single linear lens, but how do we use that, the digital or social pieces we are talking about. How do we use multicasting which we can do on discovery+. So I think if you look at the short term right now, yes, there is a price increase, but what people will see value for money…across the broader sport portfolio.
Launching in 2026, Max is a new streaming platform that will carry all HBO entertainment series offerings for the UK. This will be included in this premium package.
What’s new for 2025?
There will also be some additions for the year, including a new weekly free-to-air programme, ‘The Ultimate Cycling Show’ which will be available on Quest. The new show will be hosted by Orla Chennaoui and Adam Blythe and feature special guests. Eurosport Cycling will also be rebranded at TNT Sports Cycling.
The new show will offer cycling coverage across the season. Race highlights will be available on Quest and WBD’s YouTube channel.
TNT Sports are also launching a ‘grassroots cycling competition’:
Cycling clubs throughout the U.K will be invited to self-produce short-form videos showcasing their club and reasons why it believes it deserves to receive investment. Videos will be housed and promoted on TNT Sports web and social channels, as well as featuring in TNT Sports cycling programming. A cycling panel will choose a shortlist of three clubs. TNT Sports will then visit each club and produce a new bespoke video which will then be open to public vote during the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes. The winner will receive financial investment courtesy of TNT Sports.
