Over 41k trade visitors made the trip to Friedrichshafen last week

Eurobike attendance grows again

The stats are in on last week’s cycle show Eurobike, indicating another rise in attendance for the giant event – despite Ryanair’s Friedrichshafen flight cull.

Trade visitor numbers grew six per cent to 41,482, from 102 countries. Eurobike 2009 attracted 39,152.

22,300 consumers attended the Demo Day, including 1,732 journalists from 35 countries.

The show saw over 300 world premieres, according to Messe Friedrichshafen. The organisation’s CEO Klaus Wellmann enthused: "The 19th Eurobike generated a positively delighted response in the international world of bicycles."

Project Manager Stefan Reisinger added: “The bicycle industry is showcasing in Friedrichshafen the entire range of products that it offers worldwide. Eurobike has once again impressively highlighted its standing as the global bicycle show.”

Eurobike 2011 will take place from Wednesday August 31st to Saturday September 3rd. The Demo Day will take place on Tuesday August 30th 2011.
